ord reps should be told in clear english, that if they vote for it to go to the pilots then they are simply for the ta and that they are spineless useless pri cks and there names will be made known to on every forum. there position they chose to run for is a public position not a private one. and there names and actions against pilot wishes (but totally inline with alpa national) will be made public to all on every forum.

What is really sad is the management will get what they want either way...either they will close the doors and get cheap feed and staff the planes with experienced former eagle pilots or eagle pilots with vote in a contract and become the cheap feed. Eagle pilots it is a very tough situation you all are in I have a lot of people I know at the airline and only hope good things in the future. I am a praying man and really hope no matter what everyone is able to take care of themselves and there families.

I don't think you'll see as many former Eagle pilots go to other regionals as you might thing. We've lost quite a few senior FOs and junior CAs to LLCs and guys are flowing to AA. It will be a small percentage of us stuck when all is said and done.

Does the furlough clause currently in effect have any teeth?

I was against the furlough protection and wanted guaranteed flying instead. The majority spoke and now we have it along with all the other crap. With that said I have been asking all of those that say it's worthless to tell me the difference in worth and having any teeth between the furlough protection and their flow proposal and 60 airplane guarantee. If you can't trust the furlough protection then you can't trust their other offers either.

We are being threatened with a Comair scenario, they would continue to flow guys and park/transfer airplanes as they shrink the airline until they can get it small enough to close the doors. Management told the union that they are not afraid to give more airplanes to Mesa as they own a 20% stake there and that PDT is a hungry pilot group willing to help them as their airplanes are phased out. They won't shut it down over night but will likely take 4-5 heard to close the doors. It actually doesn't matter as they are inky guaranteeing 60 airplanes, so basically 700 pilots and 350 CA spots. Either way people need to understand that they will shrink us as regionals shrink. Mesa is growing today but that might not be the case in a few years we have all seen this game play out.

I mentioned this scenario few months back. They will park 140-145's starting JAN. Everyone bashed me because Danny G. sent a glorified letter saying that those planes will stay longer,( he had to raise moral)

But in the end he lied again, and the group fell for it. There are no pilots to fly those airplanes and they knew it all along.

Good Luck.
