So many pilots don't understand this.
Aren't the mainline pilots the ones who allow these big planes AT the regionals? If they "just said no" then we'd be flying around in Dash's and such still. |

That pax was probably acting that way due to the fact that he was flying on RAH posing as L-American Eagle. I cant imagine if it was PSA or Colgan.
Experience matters! |

Actually this is not true, every SKW and EXJ crew that I've talked to and heard of have always used their airline's name to include their FA. On the hand, RAH pilots and FA routinely say the fly for "Republic Eagle", "American Eagle" or "American". Yes I've hear all 3 of these and I am not the only one. There have been fun explanations to why they call themselves this but the one they use the most is Republic Eagle, on the Eafle Forum there are many threads with FB post from RAH folks calling themselves this and salivating over flying more Ejets on behalf of AA.
***discalimer***. It's new hires who say this crap as they don't know better, but you don't see this with SKW and EXJ. Republic Eagle, ha ha. |

I wonder how many non-pilot airline management personnel read this forum. The reason I ask is because I have a friend in PHX (non-pilot) who is a Fare Analyst for US Airways (soon to be moving to DFW to work at AA HQ). One day HE asked ME if I've ever heard of this forum (I responded "yes" - embarrassingly). He asked if all pilots were big cry babies like the ones that post on here (I responded "no" - emphatically).
Don't you think this forum is common knowledge among airline management personnel (I'm sure many from the flying public have stumbled across this forum as well). I would bet dollars to donuts that airline management LOVE this constant bickering among the pilot groups - and the flying public probably think this profession is a joke. |

Tell your fare analyst buddy to raise ticket prices to what they should be. ;-)

Why not try to raise the standards at every regional and give mainline less of a financial reason to try to get regionals to accept bigger and bigger aircraft? We all want to see the maximum number of aircraft at mainline that we can.
