Congrats to the Eagle guys for sticking together and sending a message! That 92% vote is impressive.

buddies8 03-28-2014 06:32 PM

"This is not the outcome many of you or I had wanted" eagle president pedro still does not understand that the majority of pilots said no, his many of you are all management pilots and the 3 union traitors in ord and trng department.

no wonder eagle loses money daily when the president of the company cant do the math.

I believe that as all of us "Regional" pilots finally stand up to management and in a way to the Majors Management saying that we are professionals as well and deserve to be treated and paid as such that things will begin to turn for the better. Great Job Guys!!!!!

As a Republic pilot, my NO vote is not just for us but for every "Regional" pilot out there, lets stand together!

Very off topic but am I the only one that remembers that code in your profile from Mortal Kombat?

Chupacabras 03-28-2014 06:41 PM

Congrats guys and gals, we are all proud.

RAH......bases are loaded......hit that home run and bring us all home baby!!!!!

rev4life03 03-28-2014 06:57 PM

From an outsiders view, this is awesome. I have not flown in the airlines but have been following them for years, it is one of the reasons I haven't finished all my ratings yet and chose to go at this career out of pocket.

Congrats to Eagle, I wont speak for all outsiders but I can say you are giving me hope in this career, stand strong!

I think he is referring to the other employee groups that he is trying to garner support from and leverage against us.

Not that it makes the statement any better though. This whole ordeal, as well as our operation of late, has been one epic management failure.

Dang....You Eagle guys just slapped management AGAIN, with much attention, too. Beer is on me! Takes guts. The unity in your vote was/is impressive!

and..

RAH's contract is a dud, even without Silver, XJT, and Eaglevoy's NO votes, or Commutair's commendable TA. I fail to see any "carrot" in RAH's TA. Good luck RAH pilots- give upper management a taste of their own medicine.

yeah his ground services. since eagle will be shrunk, his and aag's words then he is going to need less ground service employees. . Pedro and AAG are in a corner and they have no idea what to do. What is sure, it will cost AAG a great deal of money to do anything as punishment to the L-eagle pilots and L-eagle.

HA HA close it's actually from the Nintendo classic Contra:D

JohnGardner 03-28-2014 09:56 PM

Tonight I'm so proud of my Eagle pilots. Thank you to all offering congrats. Tomorrow we need to be pulling together better than we did yesterday.

Eagle strong!

Coolbeans 03-28-2014 10:23 PM

I hope that you guys won't need this but any eagle pilots that want to come over to the company that I work for PM me I will more than gladly give you the referral bonus that the airline gives us for recommending pilots for a job. It is the least that I can do.

DC8DRIVER 03-28-2014 10:50 PM

Former Eagle guy here.
You all should be proud of what you have done.
Maybe the rest of the pilot groups will learn something from this kind of solidarity.
Good job.

Nicely done Eagle. I support 80kts for calling out the vector. Very suspicious join date and post rhetoric.

MyMamma 03-29-2014 05:12 AM

Just got to add my congratulations and support. Stand by for more empty and meaningless threats from managment. XJT thanks you and supports you guys. We are standing together. RAH will join the ranks soon and I feel we will be a strong force to contend with.

If you were a team player you would use the code ending in B, A, Select, Start. Both players got the 30 lives

cubbies4life 03-29-2014 05:47 AM

And congrats Eagle folks. Us on the 135 side watched this closely as well. You did us a favor too, next beer is on me.

Emb170man 03-29-2014 05:55 AM

so now what

XJet and Eagle NO...RAH coming up. Is it time to form a regional airline pilots union? The ALPA of regionals? Unity of groups and no more racing to the bottom?

DashTrash 03-29-2014 07:16 AM

A special THANK YOU to all of the "no" voters!!! Well done!!! I hope that the RAH folks take heed and don't diminish yours' and ASA/EJT's accomplishments. This madness has to end!!!

Moonwolf 03-29-2014 07:35 AM

When does the rah vote close and come out? I thought it was hours after the egl vote?

Extended to April 4 due to wholesale balloting issues.

ALPA already has a FFD Working Group.

An "ALPA of regionals" would have two nickels to rub together and would lose the access and tools at their disposal already, and "unity" doesn't come from splitting apart. RAH would be better served to affiliate with the soon to be 55,000+ pilot strong ALPA and dump IBT.

And how have those "tools" benefited the regional industry over the past decade? The ALPA model doesn't work for the regional carriers with the race to the bottom, whipsaw play book management has been using and pitting pilot groups against each other.

Regional pilots are finally starting to show the only unity that will get them out of this mess. It's a national unity of regional pilots.

Congrats Eagle!

Sberry 03-29-2014 10:56 PM

Congratulations to what? American said they are going to find some other carrier to do their flying. And that's what they will do, there is always some other regional willing to low ball the other. It's sad but that's the way it is.

Who has the staffing to be able to take on those planes? There is a pretty major vacuum when it comes to qualified pilots to become newhires.

You're missing the point. Pilots should never allow new airplanes to be used as a bargaining chip for concessions.

Tell us which carrier that will be?

fastsail 03-30-2014 11:57 AM

Thanks guys for all of your support. The Eagle pilots greatly appreciate it. The ball is back in managements court. We shall soon see what they do with it.
We knew we are going to shrink, one way or the other.

PSA for now, and whoever can do it cheaper when the time comes.

How is this new?

Play the long game. How long did the cold war last? Will there be immediate gratification for the eagle pilots? Probably not. What if RAH votes their TA down? That’s three large groups of us slowly doing what Airline’s have done, loosely colluding; taking advantage of weakness.

crflyer 03-30-2014 12:41 PM

The time HAS come. The only airlines that would truly be able to handle this flying are those that trade (2 to 1, etc) aircraft for them. Who isn't having a hiring problem right now?

Agreed!

I just really wish we could ALL have said no instead of what we have now.

Ronaldo 03-30-2014 02:26 PM

Thank you Eagle pilots.

Can I ask a favor? Every time you see an RAH pilot ask them if they voted "no" yet. I think we've canned this TA with a 70-30 but I would still like to see an EPIC Fail delivered to Bedford.

Damn right we do. We are proud of what we did and aren't afraid to tell anyone. Specifically to a PSA pilot and especially to the ones who said we'd cave too.

rickair7777 03-31-2014 06:22 AM

Lets' tone it down a bit folks.

Bottom line, eagle did real good and I hope they get some benefit out of this in the short term.

Really nobody. If furloughed, junior eagle pilots would presumably follow the jobs and SKW actually has pretty good training bandwidth for CRJ's (left over from 2005-2007). Especially if AMR (or whatever their new name is) has some CRJ sims they weren't using (SKW has done training in Dallas before). I'd guess up to maybe 20% of the flying could be absorbed pretty quickly by someone.

Either AMR is bluffing, or they are planning/willing to consolidate a lot of regional flying anyway.

Iowa Farm Boy 03-31-2014 06:45 AM

Certainly some guys would apply to others regionals if looking for work. OTOH there is a large segment of AE that are like me- this is my last regional. Up or out. I'm too old to start over at the bottom of another regional and would either go to a major or back to corporate.
