What a joke. It's only gonna get worse from here on out. Unfortunately the flying public usually doesn't know the difference between mainline and regional and simply book their tickets without thinking about it. Regional carriers are always the first to be cancelled in any IROP situations versus mainline flights. When traveling with anykind of time constraints i try to avoid booking on regional flights, they are not to be trusted.

This is the culprit. It's not about the new pilot rest rules, it's about no one willing to relocate to NYC to take a job paying 20k a year. It's the regional model and it's failing. This is proof. Pay regional pilots a livable wage and we would see this problem mostly disappear.
