Its not that simple unfortunately. You don't put money where you don't have people. For example, if you haven't hired in 8 years.. then you aren't going to have any 4 year captains...no need to pay that slot..

So you don't.

But that's absolutely no reason to not have the rate established.

There will no hiring on the ERJ side for the rest of the year. You'll show for class and be placed CRJ training.

Thank your lucky stars. Those 145's are awful. Pax don't like them and deadheading crew loth them. They were great in 95 but got stale faster than any jet since. Including to 200.

Interesting times ahead the next few weeks. Hoping there are enough 200's left for anyone who wants a job.

Crj200 is worse. Can't look out of the window without killing your neck, it's cramped, it's hot, and can't climb for sh!t.

I worked a Metro IV incident last week. Forgot that pilots worked that hard.

I've got 1000 hours in the metro and you guys are complaining that the CRJ is hot.

Now try landing that on a short, gravel runway that's barely been maintained in winter at the dead of night with terrible weather, 20 watt runway light bulbs, and nothing but a crappy ndb circling approach....

...aaaand welcome to canada. The crj doesn't sound so bad :)

So is XJT even still really hiring then? I've got a couple interviews, one of which is for XJT and I'm just putting my ear to the ground. This is a pretty long thread...
