So let us test it out then! Why all the smoke and mirrors? Let us make the decision. Both sides
I'm all for that. Both sides test both PBSs.

Talk to your reps. The ASA MEC is doing what they can for the ASA pilots. Spoke at length with an ATL rep. As far as being in "negotiations" with LXJT about PBS, that's an outright lie. They are observers. And only observers. LXJT is the bigger pilot group and if you run into any of their officers they will remind you OVER AND OVER again. Imagine dealing with nevets in a conference room and you can get an idea of what it's like to "negotiate."
Technically they are not required to be part of the negotiations. They are not even required to be present, just notified. So they are being done a favor. Nothing in the T&PA has been violated. I'm sure that when the negotiation is done, it will be in dispute and the dispute portioning the T&PA will be followed.

But it's important to point out that the only reason why they are negotiating smartpref outside of JCBA negotiations, is because the ASA MEC does not want to abide by the Process Agreement for Interim and Single PBS.

As for being the larger pilot group, my suspicion is that that is brought up to point out that nothing will be ratified unless the TA is not concessionary to the larger voting demographic. It's just simple math and the reality of the situation. And this smartpref outside if JCBA is part of that as well.
