They have a flights at 5am from ord and stl to the middle of nowhere. Just wait for something better.

Here's the deal. 10k, 12mo training contract for FOs non-prorated. $18hr with a 60hr monthly guarantee. If/when you upgrade it's another 10k, 12mo non-prorated. Per diem only on overnights at $1.25. FO training is done in house but captain initial is done at Flight Safety in Wichita. Oh when you head out there you pay all of your expenses for lodging and food is out of your own pocket and upon successful completion of training, you may file an expensive form for at least the lodging.

I still have friends there so I won't tell any stories about what happens in flight ops but when I had my exit interview, I was shown a piece of paper that had a bunch of numbers on it. This was all of my paychecks from my time there and how much from each paycheck I was undercharged for insurance or something. They ended up garnishing my final paycheck for money I didn't know I owed them. That's the ACO experience right there.

They require an ATP according to their website, why put yourself through all the hassle and abuse for this place when you can just go to any other regional and be abused the same way but with multi engine time.

Oh I forgot to mention, no cancellation pay and they are NOT, I repeat block or better.

From their GOM, and because of how the C208 is designed (single pilot) the crew concept allows them to schedule crews up to 8.0 hours between required rest periods. The 8 in 24 is essentially taken away, just 8 between rest.

To be fair, you are on the hook if you fail a checkride anywhere lol...

But there was no contract renewal or extension with the recurrent I've been through. After contract you can leave at anytime, didn't have any issues there.

FO guarantee is 60 hours and then the CA guarantee is 60 hours and 70 after 1 year, has been that way for awhile. The FO got the guarantee started last year I believe. Got word that per diem is now $1.50 and is applied to every flight assignment, even the ones in and out of STL, not just the overnights.

FSI is still the CA training place and expenses reimbursement is turned in at the end of the training, and IOE. I believe most places you have insurance that you pay into you end up owing something if you leave? The last industry I was in I didn't have the luxury of having insurance (but worked full-time hours as PT, don't ask) so I went through a backdoor method via family...so I'm not 100% on that.

This is true about the cancellation pay. Block or better is on operational pulls and equipment swaps, have gotten paid for that before. They have a PA31 and if it runs a route and a crew is pulled off they got paid what they were pulled.

That must be a new one because as an FO the only way I got paid is if I was pulled for 9 pax booked on a flight. MX or swopping the Navajo, I was the ho. Winter storm rolling though for the next 4 days? Tough shiiiiit. Recurrent coming up? Haha you don't need to eat that week. Online training and take home work? Lol hahahahehehe

Yeah 9 pax would be an operational pull lol, but MX was paid if the PA31 flew. If you look at the guarantee, technically that would pay the cancellations.

Not saying it is perfect compared to others because I've seen what others offer but then again, I never lived outside the means of the guarantee...and if I flew 100 hours I would splurge a little.

Recurrent was only 2-3 days max, followed by maybe 2-3 days of flying...if you are time building and want to do 6 days on then it isn't bad and you really don't miss out on pay. But yeah the winters sucks, they have IWD now, looks like a beautiful city in the summer.

I was pulled from 4 days of flying for recurrent and received zero dollars and zero cents for my trouble. It was night and day from new hire training to recurrent. The homework became a 10 hour 20+ page cross country planning rocket launch type assignment. When I started we could bid but someone from the home office decided we no longer should have the privelage of bidding on a schedule. Everything was random and definitely not seniority based. Senior pilots would receive 65hr lines while others who did favors would get the 95+ lines. This isn't sour grapes, this is just how it was.

I had the "opportunity" to work there when I was furloughed from TSA (the second time)...I had to decline the offer.
