Recruiter confirmed that JR captain isn't even on property yet.

Someone who's about to retire should just sit back and relax. You will be out of the game in a couple years. No need to spread your agenda of needing to accept a crap contract just to guarantee your paycheck for the near future.

Every month when looking at the seniority list, we are negative pilots and we are still accepting new airplanes. We are past the break even point between planes we have parked (145s) and new ones coming in (175s and Qs). So with still more than 20 planes coming online, we are definitely short staffed. I have had a couple of flights recently cancel for lack of crew and I know we are cancelling quite a few a week for that alone.

No- I would never bother applying. The minute I saw the study guide for the INTERVIEW, I declined. I'm not going to waste time studying just for the chance to be hired. Ridiculous.
