I honestly just don't think this career is worth my time, effort and humility any more. Unfortunately over15 yrs ago when I first got into aviation, I would have stated otherwise...but it's just not worth it anymore, an aviation career is a joke these days, and I'm gonna pass.
Wow...

And all you who defended this guy. Now your career is a joke.

Silver airways used to have DUI management, they always look for pilots with pulses.

Your first year you make $20k depending on where you go. Whats the average CRJ CA pull in, easily 80k, many over 100k. Some on reserve will be less, many that work the system or work harder make even more.

You think the high powered lawyers walked into huge cases and seven figure paychecks? All that schooling to get a law degree to work under a real lawyer, writing BS summaries etc.

Doctors who spends hundreds of thousands, only to be a resident and eventually start making money back when they are 35.

Small business owners who invest a hundred grand only to pay themselves nothing for 5 years and finally start getting paid at that point...if they are one of the lucky ones who make it.

We are great complainers, I know that much. I've even had an American captain jump seater who was complaining about the taxes on his private runway where he keeps his 3 airplanes and said he wasn't getting paid enough.

Sorry if I am supposed to know this, but are you not allowed to fly into Canada if you have a DUI on your record?
I have never heard of this brought up at my airline.

Im in a similiar situation except with incomplete 121 training. Between 2012 and 2014 I was going through a divorce. After removing my own phone from a wall and accidentally breaking the jack,my wife called police and i was arrested for criminal mischief misdemeanor reduced to a violation. I had to leave initial training at 2 companies due to custody battles. I left on good terms on each occasion. In fact my lawyers sent letters explaining why. I completed comair and chautauqua training previously and spent 4 years at chautauqua before all this started. No checkride failures etc. Squeaky clean prior. This can all be grouped into the divorce category and my persistence trying to make flying work during that time when i should have stepped back for a few years. Now with three incomplete trainings for a explainable reason, i wonder if i still have a shot. Currently a part91 captain

Section 36 of the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. DUI is an indictable offense.

To the OP:

Reality check: Regardless of whether you are able to have your medical and/or certificates reinstated, you are not a competetive applicant.
