[QUOTE=Slaphappy;99778]Mesa has 38 crappy erjs that delta wants to dump. From what I HEARD, mesa is begging them to let them keep flying.
Hope delts kick's J.O to the curb. I feel for the guys and gals at Mesa. You folks deserve a big hand for what you do over there, if you can move to another carrier do it, you find that you will be able to sleep better at night. ( Sh** look at me it's early hours of the morning and I'm awake waiting to go fly.)

If SKW (or anyone else for that matter) can take jets away from mesa they will be doing all of us a HUGE favor...the industry needs to be taught the hard way that maximum employee abuse is NOT the key to prosperity, and JO is the poster-child for that.

yes but if we take more jets with not enough crews we stand the risk of losing decent schedules and we could potentially get crapped on like mesa pilots do. im not saying it will happen, but you can kiss 15 days off a month goodbye

just ask to get hired into the EMB, fly as FO for a month or two, then upgrade.

I'm giving JA and company the benefit of the doubt on staffing...
1) I don't fly open time, but lots of folks do...if they want the money (at 1.5), that's great for them. Remember it's all volunteer, no junior manning allowed.
2) The current manpower crisis was exacerbated by the holidays, and the DEN mess. They now have a month or two to catch their breath.
3) Even if they work all of us 95 hrs/month, we still make out in the end. Let's do some math...
95x11 = 1045 OOOPS! We have an annual limit of 1000! If you fly 95/month (volunteer or otherwise) you go on vacation in late NOV, and return on JAN 01.
