Default American Eagle

American Airlines is rumored to be increasing call backs of furloughed pilots to 40 per month in a couple of months. These pilots will be flowbacks from American Eagle, if the rumor is true. Hopefully the upgrade will be coming down soon.

I'm typed and have 5000 hours in the Saab. Think I can get hired as a street captain?

No, we have plenty of qualified FO's who have been waiting for a long time to upgrade.

It has been confirmed that March classes have been raised from 10 to 20 and the summer recall classes are expected to be a 40 per month. Eagle is a stable company which is seeing pilot pay raises each year. Our 16 year contract has sucked in the past but it is finally becoming benificial with several of our competitors in bankruptcy. Hiring continues and it looks like I will finally become a captain soon.

2001 hire date and posiibly 1 year for upgrade I hope. You can be as sarcastic as want want but I think a year to captain is realistic.

Just curious, how old was your friend and other ages in the class? Thanks.

Think Eagle's (and most regional's) minimum age is 21.
