The same thing can be said about majors. I've got a long list of friends that have had the worse luck. The dust has finally settled for them. United furloughed 3 times. US Airways Furloughed 2 times, Delta furloughed 2 times. Don't think if your at a major you are immune to these things. Poverty wages also... Try living in SFO under United wages back in the mid 2000's. Many majors you didn't make over 40 grand your first year.

Lets all hope those days are behind up for good.

How about if we have a thread entitled, "quit telling people how to live their lives."

And don't think for a second, this is a modern invention. We had a group of guys at EA that were furloughed by UA in '79-'80 time frame; got hired at EA, resigned from UA only to go to USAir in '88-'89 years when we went under. Those guys are still F/Os. Of worse, back to UA having lost a couple a thousand numbers at UA.

Ever wonder why? This industry took many dreams, dropped them in to a burlap bag and drowned them like unwanted kittens. For all you dreamers, good luck, I came into this industry eyes wide open, thanks to a friend/mentor who gave me a heads up. If anyone here, hasn't spent a couple of years on reserve at________, (fill in the blank), you have no idea how bad life can get at times. Fortunately the worst this industry has to offer just makes me laugh, perspective is a wonderful thing.

I would love to compile a list of all of "shifting" of regional flying that has occurred in the last year. I'm not talking about new flying, but actual airplanes that were moved from one carrier to another.

18 Expressjet EMB-145's to TSA
How many Envoy CRJ's to PSA?
How many Endeavor aircraft to Skywest?

What else are we missing?

I think its funny the PDT president act's as if he's struck gold by getting our old beat up E145's. Used hand me down's.

Enjoy them.

For the FO's that have not upgraded for the better part of a decade, this is gold. More money and a left seat.
