Default RW time towards R-ATP

Quick question from a new guy. Besides Express Jet and Mesa, are many of the best the other regionals counting RW time towards the new restricted ATP if all the other FW requirements are met?

Assuming you are army. Airlines don't control r-atp requirements...the FAA does. 750 hours is 750 hours. 250pic in airplanes is 250 pic in airplanes...have those and the other specific r-atp times and you are eligible. All regionals accept r-atps to my knowledge. And most accept anyone with any sort of atp as far as I know, but fw mins are obviously at the discretion of the airline, which I think is your question. Is your written done? That's key, bc most regionals don't have a CTP set up. If you are interested in an airline, check their website, and if it doesn't say, call a recruiter and ask.

Tow separate issues...

FAA: How much RW can you credit towards a FW ATP? See the FARs.

Airlines: Depends on each airline. Nowdays many may simply require an R-ATP of any sort. But some have always had their own minimums. SKW for example will accept a military R-ATP but will only accept a certain amount of helo time on a 2-for-one RW to FW basis. For a 750 hour mil R-ATP you would need 500 FW + (500 RW/2) = 750 which SKW will count. So you could have a mil R-ATP based mostly on RW time (500 RW + 250 FW) but still not be eligible to work at SKW.

You'll need to research each airline individually.

Don't know about R-ATP, but AWAC accepts your app if you have traditional ATP mins, even if the majority is rotary wing.
