I like where I work and most of the people I work with. I've got 17 years left. That said, I am trying to get out every day, but if I can't, that's ok. I've never had more time off in my life and have other income sources.

THIS!

A whole new generation of lifers has been hired within the last year.

There a guys out there called "hobbyists", I believe. Either the spouse makes a good secure income, they are retired with a good pension, or operate a second business. These guys will be what the regionals will have to rely on in the future.

You can usually spot the "hobbyists" by the hat and long sleeves when not required.

Knew a guy back in the '80s who was an executive VP at Proctor and Gamble and took early retirement to come to Comair to fly a Metro. He fit the hobbyist definition to a T.

He always wanted to be an "airline pilot". He was the only guy in newhire class at Comair with his own new BE-58 Baron and who drove a new S class Mercedes.

PLENTY at Republic. Most of them live in Indy and attend our annual parties to smooze with management.

There are plenty of them here at endeavor. A lot of them have a wife with a good job or a side business. And of course you have those who are fine making $80-100k a year. They don’t over spend and live a modest but comfortable life. They are senior with 18 days off with all holidays and weekends off. They see their kids a lot more than those how move on to the majors. Not everyone has to fly the biggest or make the most money. They value their time off with family. Of course most of them put in most of their time when regionals were in the growth cycle and now only have to stick it out for a few more years. I think it is harder to be a lifer with how fast regionals are put through the ringer.

I hear there was a great turnout this year. I could never imagine going to any party where BB was present, especially if there was booze
