Mainline First Choice Poll?

He loved it and it turned into a good career for him. He was an instructor in just about every plane he flew from the Navy, Air Florida, Peoples Express and finally FedEx. He didn't do as much back side of the clock flying as people who just flew the line and he is thankful for that. Some of his Navy squadron mates that got hired before or after him and just flew the line look like they are about 10 years older than him. The last time I went home we had a talk about it over some beers. I am not planning on going the instructor route so I am steering clear. I don't want to kill myself at an even faster rate just for some extra cash. He agreed with me if I wasn't going to pursue working on the instructor side of things it just wasn't worth it. Just one man's opinion. There is more day flying now though so that could be something to consider.

That is why I said kill myself at an even faster rate. I already know about the radiation, no reason for me to compound it by flying the back side of the clock.

Do you work for Delta? If not, on what information are you basing your assertion? I'm not seeing what you're seeing.

Even the Delta north guys hate the Atlanta based pilots. They are not shy about it either. Source: a Delta north pilot.

I think the radiation harms at a mere fraction of the rate that decades of circadian rhythm interruption from red eye flying will do to the body. Every living thing deals with varying levels of radiation, not everyone stays up all night. But Purple and Brown do have pensions!

Spirit.. I live in Detroit, and have seen the writing on the wall for Delta...(CVG, MSP, even SLC, beware)
