SLC & MSP aren't going anywhere. CVG is a ghost town from what it was back in the day. I would be worried if I lived/based in CVG.

Once the 74's go away, DTW will turn into RJ paradise. Already, Delta approached Wayne county about bulldozing half the terminal. It just makes way more business sense to move DTW's assets to SEA, and keep MSP & SLC intact.

If DTW shrank as a hub, it wouldn't have much of anything to do with the 747s going away. There have already been times where there was only one or two 747 departures per day.

The fact of the matter is, there needs to be a link to Asia that is geographically more desirable than ATL or NYC. DTW is it.

Ah, more astute analysis from the CEO!

The 74's are being replaced by A350's and A330IGW's. DTW's asia flying isn't going anywhere for now.

You know it!

Asia will continue to shrink, the traffic just isn't going to be there. China would love to dump our treasuries, but they can't, that should tell you everything you need to know.
