Stop being a flamebaiting DB. Its time to let all this stuff go, if the Envoy guys want to keep flinging poo thats their problem but all PSA guys need to start ignoring them including myself. Envoy isn't going to furlough or downgrade, the future actually looks bright for all three wholly own carriers and any prospective pilot is in a good spot going to all three despite what the current SSP language is at PSA or current upgrade time at Envoy. I wish I was 23 yrs old again in this hiring environment. Don't go down that road, its better to look ahead and focus our energy on making AA and all three regionals better so we can attract the ever decreasing supply of pilots or getting hired by another major. The stupid flamebaiting only makes us all look bad. Everyone has made thier point hundreds of times......let it go. There is good news on the horizon for all of us.

Perhaps he's been hanging out with RJ Pilot the King of APC B.S. ?

At any rate, I don't think Envoy will furlough as attrition should cover contraction, but the upgrade schedule claimed by some on this forum is a wish list, if you ask me. That's why I've asked for someone to provide facts as opposed to sales projections. It's getting harder and harder to find a mature Envoy pilot these days, so perhaps I'm asking the impossible ?
I know 15 got awarded upgrade with the last vacancy/displacement, but to keep up with the numbers cujo keeps lying about they'd already have to publish a July vacancy bid with 35 captains in it to get the ball rolling ..

My UAL class (Feb '15) had four military pilots out of 21 new-hires. One of the four had significant civilian time (XJT Capt). Three non-military had zero TPIC. Lots of Execjet pilots being hired.

Maybe they'll do 125 each in November and December ?

Enough is enough. 6 threads in as many days. Get a life guys. Or don't, I don't care. I'm enjoying mine and not reading the forum much. I'm sitting here eating carrot cake because tomorrow is my birthday. I don't particularly like carrot cake, but ever since I was a kid, I've always asked for it because no one else likes it and that means more for me (fat kid strategy).

Anyway, I'm spending my free time signing up for classes to finish my AS and looking at investment real estate properties. My wife is about to start back to school and we are just finishing up a home remodel I started last year. I'm not telling you any of this to brag or to make myself sound like something I'm not, rather, I'm telling you this so that you see there is much more to life than flying an airplane. Flying an airplane isn't something I absolutely love to do (although it does have its moments). It's what I do to help provide me the things I like to do outside of work. Time with my family, hobbies, traveling.

I didn't come to PSA for the "quick upgrade" and to be honest, that could change tomorrow and I'd still be here. I came here for the CLT base, and I have stayed because of those I've met in my short time here. The camaraderie and teamwork that was exhibited by my class was something I've never really heard of or seen before in any 121 training program. I'd feel fortunate to experience that kind of thing somewhere else. No airline is perfect, make no mistake. But PSA is far from the worst. I have friends or aquatinces at most regional airlines out there. Most would recommend not coming to their airline, or they have an uncertain future. PSA's growth is about the most sure thing you will find in this industry. The truth of it is, everything could change tomorrow. Another 9/11 or the market tanking could change the game again. Which is why it is important to seize the moment that exists now at PSA. If your on the fence about a direct-entry CA position, don't wait long. If your thinking about coming on as a new-hire FO and you only have 1500 hours, this is a great place to be with continuous growth for the next 3 years. Don't listen to a lot of the naysayers. They don't know our contract and they have a very clear agenda for steering you away from this airline. I'm not naive, the company has its problems. But our problems pale in comparison to those faced by other regional airlines at the moment.

Some of you guys need to get off the daggum computer and go outside or something. Go for a walk, call your wife/kids, make use of your free time and start something productive in your life.

Then I feel sorry for you. You must be miserable not being able to make a living doing what you absolutely love to do. I am so thankful I can, and do.

In your opinion. And for you, that's fine. But don't presume to believe your thoughts and feelings are or should be someone else's, as you do here. The rest of us do have lives of our own, thank you very much, and we will live them as we individually see fit to live them, not you.

Btw, happy birthday. Try getting the cake you really want this time around the calendar. More isn't always "better".

But that's just it... I do get to do the things I love to do. And just because I'm not absolutely in love with flying and I don't romanticize it anymore, doesn't mean I don't enjoy my job and meet each day with professionalism and a positive attitude. There are just other things I enjoy more than flying. And I wouldn't want to do them for a job, because then they probably wouldn't be as much fun. See where I'm going with this?

And the carrot cake thing was an attempt at humor... I suppose it was a feeble attempt. But thank you all the same.

If flying is your entire life and your only source of joy, then I do feel sorry for you. There is so much more to life. Anyway, I hope you find your joy and fulfillment in this. And I hope one day you can look back and laugh about all this. Don't take life so serious, spoiler alert... none of us get out alive.
