Thank the good Lord for this. Some idiot SKW cowboy was giving me a ride home from Den to Smf and thought it would be a good idea to go up to FL380 (in a 200) because the box said he could. 15 minutes to make it up there all the while losing speed and never could get it above about .64 up there. Coffin corner was smallest I've ever seen.

Wow talking about inexperience pilots! Zero knowledge in high altitude aerodynamics. I will never set foot again on any regional.

+1! Looks like the AA pilots were right when they said that jets would be too much for regional (commuter) pilots to handle.

Do they not use some sort of altitude capability chart that's based on weight, temperature, cg, and airspeed?

I heard they were Eagle flows.

I call bs on this, the 200 were company limited to FL370 since the Pinnacle accident if I am not mistaken just about every operator has this limitation. As a matter of fact our BOX as you call it would not give Data for FL380 in a OO 200. Just FACTS!

Not really - sounds like the aircraft was operated within its limitations.
Since the supercritical wing prevents the onset of mach tuck when the aircraft is operated within its limitations and the "box" spells out those limitations, coffin corner is a bit of a stretch.

I had a jump seater once panic and yell 'FLAPS, FLAPS!!!' just prior to landing. Turns out he was unfamiliar with our aircraft and the deck angle wigged him out. But he was mainline, and we were not so maybe he knew better?

I would second that - I haven't seen data for over FL360 at EV on a 200.
