I have a degree in Aerospace Engineering, and you don't, so I am not an amateur. I spent 2 years as an intern working for Adam aircraft on the A-500 and A-700. How long have you worked for an aircraft company? Had an internship offer with NASA one year...turned it down! Had a job offer for $52,000 a year right out of college (age 22) working on high altitude VLJ's. Apparently someone thinks my analysis of aircraft design is pretty damn good!
Enough with the personal attacks!

Hmm... nobody makes a FCOC mod for the Beechjet? Figure it would be a pretty inexpenive fix to a pesky flameout problem.

Maybe we can all get together and make some money here!!

Could be possible rotor seizure from the main fan section, or the engine bearings for the fan section failed. could have failed due to low/no engine oil, dislodged compressor blades, faulty hot section, improper fuel burn in hte hot section. From the looks of it the only thing left is the aft most set of turbine blades....

I like your philosophy, but by my math it would take 6-7 years to buy a new one with the interest, assuming preservation of the principle. My $60 Office Depot cordura is on the brink of airworthiness after 4 years, but the concept works. Thread hijack complete, allow me to say something at least slightly releavant - The CF34 is one of the few civilian powerplants that has seen combat on frontline aircraft, the A-10 and S-3.

It's the same one as in the A-10? How old is this engine? Or did the A-10 upgrades include a new engine?

Didn't the warbird engines have 10 compressor stages, as opposed to the -3B1's 9? I remember reading somewhere that it did have a redesigned compressor section.

.. oh well, 9 or 10- that Mesa engine saw it's last line flight!

Unfortunately, the AF ran out of money for the upgrades and decided to do all the cockpit/tactical upgrades, but kept the original engines. The upgraded A-10 should be sweet...and I guess they can always do the engines later if they can find the cash.

Maybe it was a problem with the left phalange...

Oh wait?!? This plane doesn't even have a phalange!?!
