Letting the airline you are now refusing to work for know you are going to another airline is a professional courtesy.
After Comair shut down, I had a class date at TSA and an interview with Republic. I called Republic and told them I accepted a class date at TSA. The following week, Republic called needing information to process a PRIA request and assign a class date. I told the Republic employee whom I spoke with, when and that I was going to TSA. He didn't get the message.

PDT
I'm new to the airline industry so take what i say with a grain of salt. I do believe however I did adequate research when making my decision and i decided on PDT. Our contract is good as far as regionals go. Cancellation, 150%, deadhead, and 29 an hour. All of those along with the flow and our current upgrade time you can't beat. 1.5 years. Good luck on whatever it is you do if you have any questions pm me.

While the flow option may be nice...it isn't the everything...everyone should do their homework.
New hires will go where they will go...but there is a reason only a few make a lateral move from AWAC after their first year.

You may be getting a few from OALs but from AWAC...likely someone who didn't make the grade in the first place or had a geographic reason to choose elsewhere. Our contract is head and shoulders above all the others and TA approval or no...it will still be better.

We have a little of both from your beloved AWAC...we are happy to have them. I actually flew with an FO recently that didnt "make the grade" over there. Excellent pilot and great attitude. They will be a captain within a year here. PSA has a half a dozen captains who didn't "make the grade" at AWAC and actually upgraded quicker. One airline's needless discard is another's gain in these times. Enjoy your contract
