Reserve on the 200 in DTW has really come down. I'm only spot away from holding a line for my 2nd month. Older guys in my class already have a line for March so they only sat reserve for 1 month. I also made the jump from Ameriflight and USA Jet to come here.

 

I just went from 135 to Endeavor. They've been pretty good so far, best pay growing, if your looking at DTW it's the way to go IMO. DTW will probably be too far to drive regularly though from CLE. But with 50k/yr you should have no problem renting something up here.

 

Endeavor doesn't have long call reserve but I don't think this should be a deciding factor for you at all, regardless of who you choose. Reserve times are short. What endeavor does have is the ability to commute in during your call out period though. Example: let's say you have a 10:00 am reserve start time with an hour:45 show. This provision would allow you to land after 10 am and accept an assignment. Before, you had to be contactable at 10 am which is difficult if in the air.

Lodging in and around DTW is very very cheap. You can do a hotel crash pad for about 100 bucks a month. Many hotels right outside the airport get you out the door for about 40 bucks. This is good to keep in mind as once a line holder you'll need a place to lay your head when you have an early show time. I know in your case you might just drive in from CLE but to others reading this thread that is good to know.

If you decide to come to endeavor, bid DTW 200. I think this will help your qol the quickest

Still grinding it. I have an exit I can use later this year if my 1 or 2 career choice doesn't happen.
