Is Ord really going to close and when?

Looks like my post a couple of weeks back is already becoming a reality. If you are not out seriously looking at other options yesterday you are already behind the power curve. Left or Right seat.

Where is this rumor of closing chicago coming from.

1. Hourly rate- About standard.
2. Hours you get compared to other for what you do, about 60%. 3. Long term Disability-60% of salary but then they limit it to 1000 per month. So it is really about 20% of salary. Doesn't matter, they will fire you before they ever pay you disability. 4.Minimum hours per day 4, if you work the entire 24 hour day. If you start after noon or end before 1700 then there is no guarantee for that day. Thus, 4 day trip beginning at 12:05 and ending at 16:55 the guarantee is 8 hours. 5. Promise not to fire everyone so often. They claim the post-firing procedures will not be so much of a joke anymore. 7. Gojet wins, pilots stupid. 8. Gojet remains an airline not to consider going to unless you have no other choices. When you don't make it through Envoy training, when Mesa fires you, after the FAA questions your sanity, and when you have no self respect, then come see me and we will get you signed up. Shinny jets, 80% of the flight attendants weigh under 200 lbs, shinny jets. 9. Gojet has the smartest owner in the industry without a doubt. Just look at what he got the pilots to sign! Wow, that's weak! Who in the right mind would vote this garbage in during a pilot shortage? |

Heard that from a buddy of mine who is ORD based a couple days ago. He said his family and him are weighing options as they don't want to live in STL.

Drug testing pay? What kind of drugs are they paying to have you test?

FYI this ORD rumor is absolutely false....anytime anyone uses the phrase "my buddy" on this forum...take caution.
United did not renew 2 Skywest crj-700 contracts in Chicago so those planes are going to American in LAX. Gojet's United contracts are coming up and United freely says it doesn't want 700s in Chicago. I don't think it is a stretch to believe they will be moving those planes out of Chicago. They have already moved much of the flying out to Denver. Even much of the Skywest flying is out of Chicago, the trips start in Chicago and come back 4 days later. Skywest is getting 175s to replace the CRJs in Chicago. Gojet isn't. I guarantee the last people to know the base is closing are the Gojet people who refuse to look at the obvious. Of course Delta or American may take the 700s. Plan on moving out of Chicago Gojet. Does anyone really want Gojet to do their flying with their recent performance? Rumor has it ... |
MrStl,
Do you work for TSA or G7? You come across like a know it all that actually fills himself with a bunch of BS. I have two good friends at G7 and they said that the company stated they renewed the contracts on the United airplanes 6 months or so ago and this was announced on a company call in show. Being that your user name is MRstl this makes me 100% sure you are a tool and most likely a management worm!!! |
