BadDeal, thanks for taking the time to post. As someone who doesn't know any GoJet pilots, I'm not privy to the stories of guys just disappearing. What type of things are folks shown the door for?

Most guys find the door on their own.....

Guys, it really isn't that bad. If you live in RDU or STL, go to Gojet, get your time and leave. Easy. If you live in Chicago, go somewhere better. It's that easy.

You can all get hired at The majors and listen to your captains ***** about only making 200k.....

I researched Gojet pretty closely and it did not take much to find the "horror stories". I don't think anyone wants to get too specific because Gojet is vindictive. At one time there were over 40 of the 125 captains being prosecuted by the FAA because they flew the Gojet planes with improper maintenance being recorded. FAA was targeting G7 at the time. Cost many of the pilots a lot in legal fees. People are fired while out on medical leave for no reason other than Gojet wants to set an example and warn people not to use family leave. They are really bad with flight attendants. One was badly injured during pushback when the tow bar broke and he was quickly fired. Another FA passed out while at home and called them from the hospital. She had been admitted with a heart problem. Gojet did not want to pay that bill so they called her right back and fired her. They fire pilots. The pilots grieve it. Gojet fights for 2 years. The pilots have to get other jobs. Finally settled for a few dollars. Try explaining to a major that you were fired while on medical leave. They will think that there must be something you are not telling them. Its a great place if you survive. Everyone says the same thing, I did not believe places like this existed until I went to gojet.

Had a few friends go to G7 and heard very similar stories. They have all since made lateral moves to other carriers before things really got ugly for them. G7 sounds about like the mob to me.

What gets me is that all this information about Gojet is out there and people still go there for a slightly quicker upgrade. There is a reason the upgrade is quicker. I was ignorant. I'm an idiot. I'm a fool. I'm a loser. I'm an embarrassment to my friends and family. Come to Gojet and you can be just like me.

How can any place be great if you have to survive it?

The contract passed with 65% yes. It wasn't "Overwhelmingly Ratified" and they also voided votes from people who where in property to vote but left before the final count.(Mostly senior/no voters)

This is the stuff the leave out of their recruiting videos...

But, so, they're hiring DEC? How's that work?
