Quote: No, this is what you are HOPING. This is not what is happening. The attrition rates at places like Compass say hi.
What the hell are you talking about?

Im not hoping anything. This is how exactly how it is now.

No, it really isn't. 2 good friends of mine just got hired recently by DAL and AA from Compass and Skywest. All the legacies are still hiring OTS.

You are hoping that everyone who didn't/doesn't drink the WO'd kool-aid will be left out in the cold. You NEED new hires to believe "the flow" mantra because no new hires = no flow.

Meanwhile, no one begrudges anyone at a WO'd a flow if it works out for them.

Big different in mindset and mentalities.

Don't even respond to this tool bag. I'm here to get info that affects me and to give info to any prospective new-hires who are interested in envoy. The only reason why some pilots from other regionals are here to bash envoy is to try and draw the few new-hires away. Pretty pathetic, but it is what it is.

[QUOTE=UAL is the only one really hiring decent numbers of regular nothing special civilian line pilots, and they are your best shot of getting into one of the big 3 without a flow or a pref interview. They are still extremely competitive and take a lot of MIL guys as well every month but you don't need to be an astronaut with a phD or a chief pilot to get in there. They are still averaging 7-8K TT and 2-3K TPIC though. Some of their openness to regular people will start to be diminished now with them starting pref interviews as well now.QUOTE]

My question is, will DAL and AA still have the luxury of being extremely competitive in 4-7+ years if the "shortage" hits them as well?

Theres enough suckers who want to work at AA, even if the culture is horrible.

My understanding is Delta has a lot of hiring planned and the military pipeline is drying up rapidly. I think far more "plain vanilla" civilian regional pilots will be getting the golden handshake there in the future.

Quote: What's the deal with PDT's agreement with AA?

Seems captain upgrades are easily less than 3 months there for folks with previous 121 experience.

which agreement?

and yeah if you already have the 1000 121 then you can upgrade as soon as there's a slot your seniority will hold, last i heard most jr upgrade was aug 15, but i think this last bid that came out had someone more jr than that

For those concerned with attrition at envoy, we will have lost 113 CA's to AA flow in 2016 through April. Not sure about the attrition numbers to OAL but I would put it at about 60-70. From speaking with the recruiters, new-hire numbers appear to be growing.

What is their flow language?

The website doesn't really break it down well enough for someone who has been in the industry for a hot minute to have a lot of confidence in whatever paper it is written on. Just trying to figure out what the real deal is.
