new hires, regionals side by side comparison
Envoy 1800 pilots - 2 bases, both major cities (Means a legacy has a hub in the city). most junior captain march 2008
Per diem $1.85/hr
Flow to AA 50% new hire spots, about 30 month. $10,000 per year for 2 years onlyfo retention bonus, not for new hire. Upto $15,000 new hire bonus based on experience.
Expressjet 3300 - 7 bases all major cities (Means a legacy has a hub)
most Jr captain april 2007
Per diem $1.85 hr.
Preferential United and Jetblue interviews.
Republic 2700 pilots - 10 bases, 12 if you dont count all of ny as one, and 5 are major cities.
Most Jr captain may 2012
Per diem $1.95
Upto $20,000 sign on bonus, best fo pay rates, strong contract like, company scope, rental cars on lost overnights and free luggage for new hires.
Skywest - 4000 pilots 14 bases 10 are major cities.
Most Jr captain - Dec 2013

Nothing like trying to summarize complex contracts and unique offerings between different companies in the space of a tweet....and getting it wrong. Thanks for wasting everyone's time.
By the way, why on earth did you choose something as useless and obscure as per diem as a discriminator and yet leave out more important things like pay rates and pay protections?

Also the per diem tends to fall in line with the block pay rates, per diem is an easy way to have a rough idea of what each airline pays vs the other.

Guessing the rest of your data is probably not accurate either. Thanks for trying to consolidate the comparison, though. Guess it's hard to get all the data from everywhere.

Because I did this out of the goodness of my heart to try and help and also to trying and limit all these envoy vs go jet threads. It is a few major items I think guys look at quickly when shopping for a place to start their 121 life. I used apc for the items.
Also the per diem tends to fall in line with the block pay rates, per diem is an easy way to have a rough idea of what each airline pays vs the other.

Guess apc isn't accurate and it's funny because my buddy just came over to envoy from mesa and he was there almost 2 years and would have just got the upgrade.

Airline pilots are dumb, and look at all of the wrong things.
Who cares when the last guy upgraded? When will YOU upgrade. That is the real figure that matters.
Who cares what the per diem is? How much time will you be able to spend at home with your friends/family (aka...how efficient are the schedules and commutability)
Who gives a rats a** what the starting hourly pay is? How much money will you really make. At a good regional, you will get paid 1.3-1.5x per hour flown with cancellation pay, block or better pay, training pay, and additional pay for time off.
Here's a cheat sheet for choosing an airline:
1) Find one that you do not have to commute to.
2) If you have to commute, which one is easiest to get to work
3) Which one will give you the most days off
4) Which one will pay you the most (not hourly pay, but actual pay)
5) Which one can you get the heck out of fastest?
