AAG wants to reduce their regional feeders from 11 to 5-6. It's being told by them...

Now, time will tell. I don't think they will be able to staff all their flying reducing the amount of regionals. But they are the ones saying they can...lol

Birmingham is now being served by pdt on the e145. You can commute on your own metal to phl. The company is trying to grow and 15k sign on bonus. I am not sure if express jet is a good place these days.

Could one hold PHL right out of training?

rumor is the CRJs will stay in DFW, maybe becoming 700s or 900s. The ERJs will go back to Envoy. That's what we've been hearing on the CRJ side for the past few months, supposedly negotiating will begin in August or October (depending on who you talk to).

The application on the XJT website should be just as valid. I'd imagine you'll get a call within a day or two of submitting it.

I believe all that is required now is a pulse and a maximum of 4 felonies.

I love how the guys spreading doom and gloom about ExpressJet don't even work here. I'm fairly certain we will stay in DFW in one form or another. Specially since the pro rate flying we do in Eagle paint is the most profitable flying in the SkyWest Inc. portfolio.

Just about.. Phl is now tied as far as size of base with roa. And growing by almost 20 pilots a month. The company is adamant that they will continue to grow phl. With a new airframe every month coming online it will really start to move fast.

I am looking for something commutable out of BHM (Alabama). Any suggestions ?

I'm retired from ASA (aka as ExpressJet) and I commuted out of BHM. Never had a problem but the flights are full most of the time, especially the morning flights. You can always try for the JS. I've had courteous DAL pilots take the FA JS so that I could take the cockpit JS. Delta pilots out of BHM great guys, so return the favor some day. From BHM the drive is just 2 hours so use that for a backup if you can't get on.

Schedules change constantly but when there are XJT flights so you can reserve the JS.

Can't say enough about the helpful gate agents in BHM either. Great folks and they try their best to get you on. Good luck! Oh yeah, btw commuting sucks. :)
