Quote: Not true at all. We could take 50 per month.
Sure you COULD... but your management won't pony up the pennies to compete, they'd rather transfer the airplanes to other companies and let you wither.

L-XJT did hire classes of 50 at one time about 5 years ago. Now they will not pay to hire anyone. They are putting up a good front of trying to hire, but they have even pulled down their bonus that they used to pay. They could hire 50, but don't want to or they would put their money where their mouth is. DFW ERJ pilot base is closing this coming year and EWR will be the next pilot base that will announced to close.

They announced today that their maintenance facility in SHV is closing. Happy Holidays.

They will have very rapid rate of attrition if they close EWR. Many people live in Jersey, Allentown, NY etc. I know I would never commute to any other base.

Quote: You could take 50 a month? How many are being added to the seniority list each month? How many are in the new hire classes each month?

If you post the wrong info, I will post the seniority lists for you. Please be accurate to the people looking for jobs and don't lie.
I said we could take 50 per month, which is 100% true. Don't be one of those tools who tries to twist what other people say. The OP was asking if Regionals were going to suspend hiring. My "50 per month" statement was in response to that. It is accurate. The size of our seniority list and whether it is shrinking wasn't the question. Our current high attrition is one reason why we could take 50 a month. I did not lie.

I'm quite sure that company seniority lists are not to be posted publicly. I wouldn't be surprised if posting one would result in a law suit for you, as well as an inability to ever be hired anywhere else ever again. Don't be foolish.

This is a different issue, and not the question asked by the OP.

For the record, and you can search my entire post history if you are that bored, I tell people looking for a job in the regional industry that in my OPINION, driving to work is the number 1 criteria for selecting a regional airline. This is because, from my observation, quality of life appears to be most important for most people. I still maintain that position, but it is an OPINION.

Quote: The only place that shows basically no interest in hiring that I've heard of was ExpressJet. They are just letting it wilt while picking the fruit for SkyWest.

You sound like a tool. You are twisting your own words or you don't remember what you wrote. You disagreed with a post that said the same thing as you just wrote ("Not true at all").

The responses that you seem to be upset with are the ones that just called you out on something that you said was wrong.

Skywest is not allowing XJT to hire. XJT will not offer enough money to hire anyone because of Skypest. When you insinuate that XJT is hiring 50 a month, people are going to correct you. XJT is putting on a show for their current employees that they are attempting to hire.

FYI, seniority lists are not SSI.
