I think Endeavor, the AA WOs, Republic, and probably SkyWest will raise pay and bonuses and keep moving forward. The airlines that stand to hurt the most from this are Mesa, the United 50-sea regionals, and the TSH regionals. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.

I’m an Envoy guy, no news yet from the AA WOs. Skywest isn’t doing a raise, as I’ve heard yet.

But if 1 AA whole owned does, we all will follow.

We are hoping for you guys to do it and drive the competition!

I am at a WO and it was straight from the union that as long as we continue to get these insane classes of 70 people that management sees no reason to raise the pay. Management sees people coming in the doors as eveidence that we are compensated “fairly.” Most likely they’ll continue throwing $45,000 at the so called “high value aviators” and not do anything to improve the QOL for those on property.

If the TA passes first year FO pay goes to $45/hr and tops out 9 years later at $60.05/hr in 2020. WAY TOO LOW, In my opinion. My suggestion is to eliminate sign on bonuses all together and make pay and other incentives the focus to retain people. I guess we will find out in a few days.

They will never give up the sign on bonuses. Even under the current they will still be able to use them, and in October they have in unrestricted amounts available. It doesn’t help that every other regional allows management to use these bonuses. Some in the union are saying Republic management wants to market with AllATP, which they currently are not allowed to.

They should be allowed to offer some type of financial benefit but I don’t agree with these skyrocketing bonuses for new hires.. in my opinion we need to get away from that and incorporate it into our pay and benefits because new hires will take their $17,500 bonus and run after a year or less.. offer the ATP course at no cost to the new hires and pay them well while they are on property.. Those of us who have been here a while deserve some better fruits from our labor.

Chris, are you changing your stance on pay increases? I saw you say before that AA will play all cards before increasing pay. Curious as to why you changed your mind. Hope you heard something nice....
