That's because NOW there is a huge discrepancy in FO pay that is legitimately large enough to sway a decision.
In the past, when you were complaining about it incessantly, there was not. It was very idiotic and short sighted to be so hyper-focused on starting FO pay while totally ignoring CA pay and other provisions in the contract that add to pay and QOL. In other words you acted like every bight eyed green CFI does when they start looking at the next step and not like somebody who had any experience in the industry. And you want us to believe you're at Delta now? Sure thing buddy.

In the past RPA was at 45-46/hr. AA W/O were at 52-53/hr with higher bonuses and training pay and the same work rules (except Jr Manning). That 7-8/hr difference times 75 monthly guarantee times 12 months is 7,200/mth. You don’t need to be a Captain to move on. You only need 1000 hrs of 121 time to go to a legacy and a wet ATP to go to a ULCC. See y’all cheerleaders keep focusing on the past of pre-Covid requirements to move on. Whereas other regionals are staying up with the times. Don’t feel bad. At least AA WO are not hiring any YX, OO, or Mesa folks (unless they had applied prior to the pay announcement) as they don’t want to hurt their Eagle brand.
You can also stop your strawman too. Nobody is arguing against that RPA management needs to get their house in order and come out with a new contract before they lose all their pilots. Also nobody is arguing against the fact that RPAs contract is CURRENTLY severely lagging when compared to industry peers.

No it’s not. If the economy crashes bad enough that you get furloughed from your new gig, how much hiring do you think Republic will be doing? Because that’s the requirement. If RPA isn’t hiring new pilots, you don’t have a seat anywhere.

If nobody in front of you leaves, your seniority doesn’t change a bit. Not one bit. Literally nothing. At all. Hiring people behind you doesn’t do anything for you except give you a bigger furlough mitigation margin and maybe allow you to drop trips because they’ve got adequate reserve staffing.
