You didn't see the insight and forethought in the F9/YX mash-up, the absolute genius in RJET's plan for world domination with a super-regional that would "challenge OO's hold on the west", the prowess of announcing a "west leaning base structure" and then opening SDF and BOS, the wisdom of turning down the request to open DEN, and the sagacity of putting half of your flying where there is none?
By the way, have you guys gotten the "You choose to commute" memo fro the Rev yet?

Doubtful that they cut RAH, but I was honestly surprised to see them sign a new contract with Mesa. I had a weird feeling PSA was going to get their 900's now PSA is hiring all of a sudden so I think something brewing that we haven't been let in on yet. Also they announced hiring on the same day that it came out MIA was closing for republic. Clearly AAG was making decisions on the regional side. Why do you think Mesa out?

didn’t we just acquire new 175s that were supposed to go to envoy? And didn’t we just convert delta 170s to 60 seat 170s for the NY market? What am I missing? I don’t think AA will cut rah, I think they’re just following Delta’s lead and shoving us in the northeast.

There has never been MX for the EJet in either IAH or MCI. Have you ever seen a 10-7 for MX in MCI when they were a base?

No. AA is doing exactly what DL is doing and what UA will end doing as well because they are always last to follow. That is isolate their regional feeds to specific regions of the country. Unfortunately it sucks for any regional that wants to expand to other areas of the country, but at the same time makes complete sense for the majors that call the shots.

You must new. Yes. There was maintenance in IAH and MCI... if you’re thinking of heavy Mx like in Indy and CMH then no, but we had a maintenance presence in Houston and Kansas City before closing. Kansas City maintenance closed 2-3 years ago now.

Wrong. There’s a MX “presence” in every YX base but it’s not considered a MX base. A simple look on the intranet or talking to an AMT would give you the answer. MCI/IAH was NEVER a YX MX base.
