Hence why I said theoretically. Either way 70 people are getting p*ssed on by the golden shower that is Bedford

I can see this delaying hiring even further if NY doesn't recover and there being that many reserves.
From what I was told we have NOTHING yet. Just empty promises from mainline.

The eggs are getting smelly...

I think this is true for everyone. Things are about to get bad for all. The real question is just how long will it be bad.

DL could still do it, sure. But removing YX from MIA makes it much more difficult.
AA literally has no control over our base structure. Republic is closing it because they know they will need the pilots in LGA with the entire reshuffle happening. If DL told us today that on April 1 they would begin flying out of MIA as a hub with a flight schedule that matches our AA flying, we would keep it open.

YX continues to put all of their eggs in a non-existent basket. I wouldn’t be surprised if that AA flying never materializes. Again, the those of you even considering YX in the future, expect downsizing and long upgrades.

Its true that RAH decides what bases they want and don’t. However where mainline decides to allocate flighting dictates that decision in a huge way. That’s why AA moving the flying out of MIA is resulting in a base closure. Delta still plans grow MIA and compete with AA, but RAH management has decided that a base no longer makes sense.

The result is that Delta will not have a RAH base to use for feed and all the operational benefits that come with it. Will they still use RAH in MIA? Sure. Now you have to hotel the crews, no reserves available when operational disruptions occur and so on. Does RAH have a MX base in MIA? If so and that closes, RAH will be forced to use outstation MX. Basically chess pieces being moved around on a board by your mainline partners.

Doesn't AA have a contractual obligation to give RPA routes to fly?

Yea.. this isn’t good... been trying to see the upside in the decisions made by RP management. Just don’t see it anymore. We get it, mainline decides who does the flying. But Republic has proven over and over and over they can’t protect the flying we do, the bases we have, or their employees quality of life.

Not when American goes bankrupt.

Time to bring back the 6 yr upgrades just like in the good ol days🙏🏽.

It’s “positive rate” then “gear up” right?
