Not trying to go off topic here, but there is a big difference between being at the Majors and dealing base closure vs being at a Regional and dealing with base closure.
However, there is a long saying don’t ever relocate for a regional as well. Regionals are historically known to base open and closures vs the mainline carriers more frequently.

It’s funny because there are just as many on this forum that say “never commute to a regional.” I guess the secret is to go straight to mainline. Wish I’d thought of that!

Just so y’all know we don’t claim this loser at Envoy. He doesn’t work at Envoy and doesn’t represent us. I know recruiters at Envoy who are tired and embarrassed of his shtick.
Sorry to the guys that lost their base. It’s happened to us a ton at Envoy over my career.

Do tell. Who do you specifically know in recruiting that supposedly said this? I'm VERY familiar with the recruiting department at Envoy and me thinks you are just throwing out a line of BS and that you don't know a single recruiter.

I think most of us are smart enough to realize the opposite pilot group has absolutely ZERO to do with these decisions made... I don't speak for everyone, but I’m pretty confident the majority of us at Republic hold zero animosity towards Envoy pilots. We’re just pawns in the game they’re playing. Why waste energy hating someone that’s in the same boat as us??

Sorry, but you couldn’t be more wrong. I had the pleasure of flying for Father Bedford for about 7 years and my last count I had was about 18 bases closed, with a few reopened as they saw fit. That is devastating for people to constantly deal with. No other regional does that. Bedford has a stiffy for out station basing and this is the result of that. Your comment about the majors is flat out wrong as well. Show me where a major has closed bases on their pilots. I’m sure it’s happened but I can’t think of one.
Think twice before flying for Bedford. Instability in your base is the most stable thing they offer. Unless you live in Indy. Then you’re golden!
