Well that’s an extremely shallow statement to make. Yes, sure if you live in FL and have zero desire to move or commute maybe. If you’re not committed to accept constant change no matter who you work for then maybe the airlines aren’t for you. YX hasn’t made any statements about downsizing the company. They continue to remain the second largest regional with a top contract. If you choose not to adapt to landscape changes I would suggest another career. I hate to break it to ya but this happens at the majors as well. Your choice. Should have done your research prior to investing.

The company has used the word “niche” multiple times now. That should indicate a significant downsize is on the way.

I personally know of at least 2 cadet applicants that didn't make it through the process to get into Envoy. They both ended up at Republic. You can put the pieces together however you like. However, what it says to me is that no one wants to work for a contract regional carrier that constantly shifts flying and opens and closes bases on a whim.

The flight file changes sure. But it also changes at American depending upon demand and seasonality of certain markets. Envoy has the same bases as AA and has had them throughout its history. All of a sudden Envoy didn't decide to open a DEN base and close it a year later like some of these transient contract carriers.

Just so y’all know we don’t claim this loser at Envoy. He doesn’t work at Envoy and doesn’t represent us. I know recruiters at Envoy who are tired and embarrassed of his shtick.
Sorry to the guys that lost their base. It’s happened to us a ton at Envoy over my career.

That's exactly what we do. Since 2015 NYC has now closed twice. MIA closed once, they are closing the 145 base again in MIA at the end of the month. ENY takes their ball and goes home just like everyone else does.

How does the word “niche” translate to downsizing? All of our aircraft are assigned flying for the northeast. However due to little demand from the pandemic the codeshares are forced to move them elsewhere temporarily (ORD, CLT, ATL, etc). YX is banking on normalization coming back soon, meaning the NE demand will pick back up. If not then the CPA’s state the flying must go somewhere else. The codeshares can’t just drop contract flying out of the blue on an active CPA without legal action taken against them.
