Lots of flights but also lots of commuters, especially out of MCO. The delays can also screw up your plans real quick.

Sorry if it's been asked recently but I couldn't find anything up to date. Starting in December and trying to plan a bit for the future as I live in CT, basically equal driving distance from BOS and LGA. Looking to move a little closer to either NY or BOS. I know in the past BOS was mainly day trips or 2 day trips, it wasn't filled with lots of 3/4 day if I'm not mistaken. Is this still the case?

Another thing to consider is BOS is our smallest base with barely over 30 FO lines, and in comparison LGA is our 2nd largest with over 100 FO lines.

~180 lines. Boston is not mostly 1 or 2 day trips, that is a gross over generalization. It may have slightly more than other bases but the percentages of each bucket are not that far off. You will get a line quicker in LGA generally. If you are not within 2 hours of driving distance, parking, shuttle time, and getting through KCM within 2 hours after getting the call then with all other things being equal I would choose LGA. A lot more movement there.

DCA and EWR are similar with both having around 70 FO lines.
Here is a list from most lines to least lines:
IND 100+
LGA 100+
CMH 90+
PIT ~70
DCA ~70
EWR ~70
SDF ~50
ORD ~50
PHL 30+
BOS 30+
Some months LGA has the most and others IND. Both are pretty similar in size.
