You have posted these questions on every regional airline page. Pick up the phone and call the companies and ask to speak to a Pilot Recruiter. They will have the most “up to date” information

Thanks. That's a great point, gonna do that instead. Probably would be much easier.

It would definitely be more accurate

My reserve schedule for the next few weeks is 3 on, 2 off, 5 on, 5 off, 4 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2 off, 5 on, 2 off, 5 on.
5 of those are 3 am to 1 pm. The rest are 10 to 10.

This is an awful idea. Those recruiters don’t know the most up to update schedules as they don’t have access to that. Company and union does. The recruiters only have a general idea and that’s about it.

Reserve varies from base to base. I haven’t really worked weekends and had a solid reserve schedule in June. July was gearing up to be pretty bad month. Mainly cuz I needed very specific days off, but since the reserve grid was green, I was able to drop my reserve days and pick up trips from the trade board. YMMV

What I can say of that you will have 18 days of reserve and 12 days off a month per our contract.

When you are really new, you’re kind of stuck in the suck. When you get a little seniority you can do a few things to mitigate the pain a little.

allow single days off, take the weekends off then every Wed. This leaves no more than 2 day trips. Commuting? Bid 6 in a row.

contract says you can’t work more than 6 in a row and can’t get less than 2 days off at a time unless you waive it. So be creative within the guidelines. As a new hire, not likely to be reserve for very long anyway.

Thank you for sharing! And are you getting called in to fly on every one of those "on" days? Or do some of them end up being off too?

So far I haven't been called, but I haven't been on reserve for long either, and I'm not at one of the bigger east coast bases like LGA/EWR. I expect to be called this weekend as it's a holiday and thunderstorms are forecast.

My buddy in SDF flew 30 hours this month. I averaged 50 hours while on reserve. Now, reserve list is much longer so it’s anyone’s guess

SoFloFlyer is correct. Not only is the FO Reserve list growing, but more importantly, the Captain list is shrinking. Without a surplus of captains to cover reassignments, timeouts, wx, etc., FO's will be sitting at home quite a bit.
