For the love of God
For the love of god (capital G?), will you please stop accepting positions at Repubic. Seriously, what does this company bring to the table for you? If you live in IND, CMH, PIT, or SDF, fine, I guess I understand, but anywhere else?! Seriously?! You have so many other options. This place is and always will be a dump. Yes, there are lifers here that think it's a mainline (Andy Dufrense), but do not be tempted by their sirens. DO NOT risk your training record at this place. The only people that might say this is a good place or jerk off to the potential contract are the ones that live in the aforementioned bases.

I agree with the rest, except for the training record bit. I found the training to be very good and even the “tough” APDs were very fair.
Unless you live in one of the mentioned bases there isn’t much here. Other airlines have better contract benefits and pay. People will say we don’t have hot reserve but when you have a 4 hour sit at BOS or EWR or LGA just to get reassigned, it defeats the purpose of said perk. There are no commuter benefits really and you get assigned to bases with barely any crash pads to speak of, and end up paying $800 in Sonesta Suites rates (PIT).
I initially came due to promises of high flying time, which were unfounded. Now it is 7 months reserve even at PIT (which is forecasted to have 130 reserve assignments for October) and barely any flying to speak of. Call me scum but I drop all my reserve and pick up what scraps I can. This way I can build some flight time to make myself more marketable for ULCCs while attending all hiring events.

Mmm… not sure why you think the R-ATP is a negative factor. All the regionals will hire you. Being that close to a base is good if you can make it there in 1:45 during high traffic times. Just realize atm strictly speaking about RPA: they are so fat on FOs it will be very hard to get any flight time for at least another 6mo to a year. I’m being conservative with my estimation I think.

Personally, the 1:45 mark is not good at all. It’s short enough to be enticing to make a 2 hour callout, however, that pretty much means you have to be ready to get going out the door. And the 2 hour mark means parked and through security. Don’t count 1:45 as how far you are away from Logan airport, you have to get to the employee parking lot, then get from there to the terminal and get through security, and possibly get randomed at KCM and now make it through normal security.

I live 25 min from Logan and I've traded bases, I only worked 7.3 flight hours last month and I'm on track for less this month. Do not come here for a BOS base. I was in a Jan class and just hi 123 hrs this year. Luckily I'm in a different situation seeing I worked for an airline that went out of business and just needed o get current. I have a class date flying very bright airplanes, that day can't come fast enough.
