CMH
My friend is in training. His entire class was assigned to CMH. He lives in the New York City area and doesn’t intend on moving.
He’s looking for info on being based there. -Approx how many months to hold a line?
Crash pads or hotels that offer crew discounts?
How is commute info to/from nyc?
Thanks

No idea but he should join the FB pilot group. we get discounts at hotels and pilots party crashpads there.
How many in class, how senior is he? If sr. I wouldn't sign anything long term as LGA and EWR are usually jr bases pilots.

sorry. I’m new to this. Can you explain what jr and sr bases mean?
he’s in a first officer class. so he has no seniority.
also can you tell me specifically the name of the Facebook group? I see a few out there. Not sure which is the one you’re referring to.
Thanks

Don't remember the FB group title but if he asks an instructor they will know.
Sr to his classmates. Everyone in his class has the same hire day. The oldest dude is the most sr and the youngest is the most jr. The sr dude gets first pic of base so can move out sooner.

actually that was rude but you’re correct he probably should. And I’ll tell him you think so. Tbh he’s not a member here and we’ve been friends since grade school.
