Default OKC Commuter

I will start training in the new year and am currently doing some research into which base would best accommodate a commute out of OKC. Best I can tell from scouring AA, United, and Delta bookings is that LGA has the most non-stop daily service on Republic paint out of Will Rogers. It also appears that there is a daily overnight in OKC from LGA.

Would anybody be able to shed some light on how senior the trips are that are overnighting from LGA in OKC? Would I be realistically able to bid and get this trip frequently once off reserve? RPA4526 in and AA4535 out

My thought process is that an overnight where I can sleep in my own bed might make up for some commuting on my off days. Unfortunately living in domicile won’t ever be an option for me.

Thanks in advance.

A quick glance at that inbound flight number for November showed only 23 results which were spread around a few bases in which that flight is associated with a pairing. IND had the most, followed by BOS, CMH, and just one or two for ORD, LGA, PHL, and DCA.

It may be more trouble than it’s worth because you gotta try and guess which bases will get those overnights while choosing the base that’s best to commute to/from. All while pairings and flying changes month to month among the bases.

Sorry, it’s a bit too involved to try and match that flight to a pairing, to an FO, and then check their seniority. Maybe there’s an easier way, haha, but I do not know of it.

I am not with Republic, but am a long time commuter and your thread title caught my eye. Do yourself a favor and choose the base that is going to have the most commutable trips based on offline and online commuting. OKC is a great commuter city with a lot of choices, but a 2 leg commute is a non starter when you have an easier option available. IND, BOS, and others are 2 leggers from there. You will lose a full day to that type of commuting.
ORD, DCA, and LGA are one leg with plenty of options, especially ORD.

There are OKC overnights as an outstation and sometimes long ones. However, when you first start you will be on reserve and your base will likely be LGA, BOS or CMH where you will sit and maybe fly making the ability to pick a base, and hope for the OKC overnights an exercise in futility.

Exactly, ORD is very senior for this reason. It’s the easiest commute for most people outside of the north east. LGA is very junior and would most likely be your best bet until Houston opens up in the future (however long that may take).
