Thanks!
I've been waiting for a call for a couple weeks now...how long after you applied did you get the call to schedule an interview?

Probationary new hires SHOULD NOT cross the picket line. Should there be a strike (been there, done that) all of the new hires that get "fired" will be brought back under the terms of the back to work agreement. New hires that cross the picket line will be termed s.cabs for the rest of their however short careers.

I'd say dump them and get representation from an in-house pilot union for half the price.
You must not understand how the Railway Labor Act works. As for your in-house union argument, American's in-house union hasn't had any better luck, so try again.

What is the topic of this thread Emb170man, DenPilot and Oskeewowow?

Republic Interview!

Do you guys not read any of the threads?

Lets see if WarbirdPilot does not go to the interview based on rahcontractnow.

I am not saying that your airline is the top choice for most candidates, but if it is the ONLY opportunity that an individual has then let the individual make the decision and answer his/her question that they specifically asked!

I will tell BB and WH on the back 9 that you guys says hello.

Good luck on your contract.
WOW!

Anyone who is interviewing at RAH should read rahcontractnow before interviewing. Sophomoric reamspokse my bum, informing those who have stars in their eyes of the reality of what they are signing a two year training co tract (indentured serventhood) should be a priority. As for the contract, while I'm certainly not happy with the time it has taken, I do understand that almost 2 years of that time was taken away from negotiating a contract and out towards BB's airline shopping spree and all the fall out that followed.

People have to remember that this is still a regional business, regardless of the aircraft being flown. Yes, i think the regionals are encroaching on flying that should be done by major carriers, but that's a whole other topic. Many still just want to get in and get out. For the ones that bash RAH, where would you choose to go? The problem is you've been at RAH your whole career and you only know what other places are like based on what others tell you. Tell the OP to go to AE, 9E, G7, AX, YV, 3M, C5. I'll even throw in EV. I can guarantee you I can find the same number of pilots that b***h and complain just as much as the pilots at RAH. There's issues no matter where you go.

The point is, when you're starting out you take the first call and any call you get. It's all about options. If you live in LGA and you can get on with an airline based there than great. The upgrade times for the most part are about the same no matter where you go,with the exception of a few.

The OP is asking for interview information and I'm sure he/she is well aware of the situation at RAH and many other places. I just don't understand why it's so hard to stay on topic.

The vast majority of those hired in 2007 (about 80% of our FO's) came from other regionals. That was back when this and Skywest were the places to be! I, along with about half of my newhire class, came from Mesa. I know what it is like to fly for a horrible company...RAH is becoming Mesa-like more and more. Your statement is completely false.

I know F9 and RAH pilots have a lot if misguided hatred for each other. One thing i know of the RAH pilots that im very proud of is they would NEVER side with management if the F9 guys would find themselves in a battle for a new and respectable contract. It shows your true character to root against a pilot group fighting to better themselves. Im very glad i work with a group who would never act in such a manner.
