Best thing about commuting to IND is the FedEx option. The shuttle system there is simple to use and depending on their departure/arrival times you could turn their uncommutable 4 day trips into commutable on atleast one end. I would NOT attempt to commute in arriving at 4AM for a 6AM report to fly a long duty day though. Not worth wearing the body down if you ask me.

I think I posted these in another forum but I have a few questions about Republic
1. Do they let you choose what cert you work on
2. If you fly on the Shuttle side, do you fly both United and Delta routes?
3. On the Shuttle side do you get both Delta and United travel benefits?
4. How long do you sit reserve on the Shuttle side (approx)
Thanks

I just got offered an option to choose between a Republic Q400 or a Chautauqua ERJ145 class. Can anybody offer any ideas or advice? Pros and cons?
What domiciles am I likely to get? How about how long can I expect to sit on reserve?
Thank you!

2. Yes.
3. Yes.
4. Some have been holding a line right out of training in cmh, while others are sitting reserve for at least 4-6 months in ind. There have been transfers to LGA, ATL and ORD right out of training but reserve in those places is years at the current rate. Unfortunately what it has been like in the past isn't always a good prediction of the future.

Any place is possible.. Most likely you will see LGA, CLE, CMH first.. but your mileage will vary. Things that you see available now may not be available by the time you are done with your training, etc. Remember, you can always find someone to base trade with you.
