Another sucker born every minute...
Slats-have you always been a troll? Why do you have such a small mind complex? It's comical to watch you get upset because someone chose to go to a regional you obviously have issues with. Don't let your shortcomings in life get in the way. Take a breath and move on. Or just butt out unless it pertains to you.

The hiring mins at Republic Airways are 1200 TT, 200 Multi, 100 Instrument. They will be doing on-site interviews at our next job fair in Atlanta on July 21st.

www.aerocrewsolutions.com/pilot-job-fair/

If anybody has questions about the event, please send me a PM. We will have 3 other airlines that will be conducting on-site interviews.

Looks like there still isn't a shortage of people willing to work for $23 an hour.

Do these people know what their pay checks are actually going to look like?!?

I dont know if you are saying that in general about regionals or just republic? However I have seen those shots taken at republic only so I'm going to make my comment on the issue. Republic $23, expressjet $23, Asa $23, Skywest $22, gojet $25, eagle $25. Do we know it sucks yeah. However when you meet mins and are CFI for maybe $20-30 bucks what else are you suppose to do. The whole regionals need to go up. Like I said I don't know if you are taken a shot a republic or not but it is a better job than cfi. I'm at colgan an our first year was 25.92 I think but we had a pay raise at first and now it's 26.7 so not too bad.

The $5,000 bonus makes it easier to live off first year pay.

Ummm, year 2 at SkyWest is 40hr which is more than Republic top out pay without that 2 year training contract and much, much better work rules, soft pay ect..... Comparing RAH with SKW, Express/ASA is like comparing deer droppings with Rasinettes...

That signing bonus is tacked onto your training contract. Also, I have a friend in week 2 training and still hasn't seen one cent of that bonus.

If I had to guess, I would say you're a new hire at SkyWest and you've been drinking that kool-aid?

Could you please give specifics regarding the work rules and soft pay at the two airlines?

It mirrors the ExpressJet contract, block or better, cancellation pay, min day credit, DH pay ect... There's a reason SKW doesn't need a union. I've had a few sips of Kool-Aid but this isn't my first airline. I came from 9E and SKW is a world apart in professionalism and the way they treat employees.
