Definitely not top tier , esp.Mesa and their subpar contract and wages. However , as it stands right now , they are a better option than the three the op originally asked about for alot of reasons. Republic or gojet dosent have cancelation pay , and with all those northeast bases and the winter months fast approaching, it could spell commuting to work and sitting without pay for some folks real soon. Now that sucks.

I can't believe the union would allow the practice of no cancelation pay. It encourages pilots to fly broken aircraft and causes friction in the cockpit. One pilot may want to write up a discrepancy where the other guy will argue against it in fear of the flight canceling, then only being able to afford the cheap noodles!
For that reason alone I would forget Republic and GoJet.

Seriously? Why?
The work rules, schedules, pay, and support departments at Envoy are head and shoulders above anything RJET will ever be. The 145s and the 190 are going away, and management acts as if the pilot contract doesn't even exist.
...and this is a special paragraph to highlight the biggest detriment to working at RJET: There is NO OUTSTATION BASING at Envoy.
Plan on being an FO for a while at either place. There are a LOT of lifers at RJET, so trying to time an upgrade might be pretty hard...you might as well have a decent quality of life at Envoy as opposed to being treated like a baby treats a diaper at RJET.

The union has nothing to do with it. It's a contractual practice approved by the votes of pilots who were here before many of us. I suspect we'll be voting on another TA shortly which will definitely fix this oversight. It's a roll of the dice when it comes to picking a good airline. Good luck with your choice, OP.

Next year we should get a pay raise (I expect around 3%), per diem increase to $1.90 and will continue for $0.05 every year). Also we have an amendment round in 2016, so I expect also more improvements.
Future is uncertain, but still a better contract than RAH.

Just my opinion, yea no cancel pay and envoy has the better contract, but you will end up making more than an envoy guy most likely with how much you fly and you won't be on reserve nearly as long. Pretty sure they are hiring mostly on the 170's so I wouldn't take the q if it was offered. Also envoy has hot reserve republic does not. And lol I believe envoy has the most lifers out of all regionals. Envoy is a very uncertain place to be right now.
