I'm gonna choose to focus on the fact that, once again, the mighty 145 crashes without hurting/killing anyone. Get em slimbraer.
Left main folded inwards, right folded out suggesting excessive side loads.
A NWS uncommanded swerve is a possibility, but the skids from all for mains seem to possibly point in a different area.
There were several incidents with Expressjet and Republic where there were three skid patterns at different points after touchdown where the nose gear had intermittent side loading.
Just spit balling here and saying there are other possibilities as to the potential cause.
Just glad everyone is OK and hope the crew is found not to be at fault.

Landing with the brake set has occurred in the past for this plane. XJT.
happened back in 2011 or 2012 with American eagle in GSP as well.

The mains were shredded all the way to the wheel hub from the skidding. The wheels appear to have been locked up as the tires are only shredded in one spot and the rest of the tire has full tread. Find a high resolution picture of the mains and you can see.

This is not speculation: Both main gear collapsed.

Was that proven to be parking break set before touch down?

Yes. They were transferring hyd fluid from sys 1 to 2 in flight and accidentally left the parking brake set.

Reminds me of the time someone at Ameriflight was doing their weekly checks at shut down both engines via the firehandles. While in flight.

I certainly hope this wasn't the case in Freeport.
