Excellent point. But one needs to be a pilot to do that. We have far too many "automation supervisors" in the industry, especially in the foreign carriers.

He's just got a video up on the SEAT crash in Montana, which includes, among other gems, that it took on "15,000 lbs of water," which is really impressive, given that it's a sixteen thousand pound airplane. He can't post a video and get it right. He just can't.
There's plenty of "look at me" factor, though. They're one long selfie. Brilliant.

If you’ve got the wrong numbers you’ve got the wrong power setting.
If the thing won’t go you need more blow.
At some point you may need to consider just pushing the thrust levers to the stops.
