Nice job on the ditching. Plane stayed intact. Water temp upper 30's air temp teens so not much time in the water before hypothermia sets in.

Flew P3's so practiced ditching a lot. FedEx pilot now.
Those were the days!!!

I can only imagine what would have possibly happened if it had been a typical low overcast day in NY ... worst situation imaginable I'd say ...

I don't even want to know what the airport authority at TEB would have charged for a landing fee

Sad thing is FoxNews reporter stated that it was the most experienced guys that fly these planes..'Best of the Best'...after thinning out of the pilot ranks.

Any word on the birds?

On a serious note, excellent job! Kudos to the crew and rescuers (and ferry captains), for allowing everyone to have a story to tell their grandkids. And they say we're overpaid...

If the FAA doesn't, I'm sure that some slick ambulance chasing lawyers will. In the upcoming PTSD lawsuits, they'll claim that the pilots were in neglect since they "failed to steer around the birds"

Don't forget the upcoming lawsuit and protests by PETA for flying through a flock of birds, which had every right to be flying there in the first place.
