It is in the river about a mile from where i live on the west side of the Hudson.

It's very sad to see the neighbors rushing to the park at the edge of the bluff to see whats going on, like rubberneckers on the highway.

Ummm, no they don't. But there is an old joke about that in aero-engineering circles

They do ingestion tests on smaller birds, like chickens...thawed out.

GREAT JOB by the crew! Airplane held together, quick thinking by the crew, and training paid off.

The simple fact that they pilots were able to ditch this thing in the frigid water of the Hudson with ZERO engine power and have the plane NOT break apart is simply AMAZING ... never seen anything like it before.

That's how you fly in NYC!!!!! Great skills to the crew for taking it in the river instead of the city. That's why pilots should be paid more than doctors because of the great CRM and skills that the crew showed the world today. Great JOB!!!!!

Wow. Wow. Wow.

Good job ferry drivers, they responded to 9/11 without missing a beat and probably did the same here.

Things like this put it all in perspective - any given flight.

Pretty amazing. Any US Air guys on the forums that might know the crew?
