@ JamesNoBrakes. Don't forget its still the wet season down here. Any search would have to stop regularly for a couple of hours a day whilst the tropical clouds cycle. You don't feed your chickens in a thunder storm.
I once heard a turbo porter self destruct at full power during a ground run. I heard it from roughly 1km and mistook it for the crackle from a large rocket. Our witness heard 'firecrackers'."It was still way above the trees but veering left and right, and then it disappeared." not to speculate, does look like a CFIT incident though..
