Under whose authority will the crash investigation be carried out under? Eg, who issues the preliminary and final report?

One of my friends was on the plane. Not sure if he was flying. My thoughts to the families of all the crew If it was a load shift it was so unnecessary. Another Fine Air.

We need an end in the industry to double standards for cargo and passenger flights. One set of rules for lithium batteries, dangerous good and duty times.

The next question will be; will their insurance pay out? This has been a question asked by all of us flying routinely into this "non-combat" combat zone...

I agree.

As a cargo pilot myself, I have never taken off without without thinking of a loadshift.

RIP fellow aviators

ShyGuy

Under Annex 13, the investigation is done by the State of Occurrence. Effectively, probably the NTSB will "assist" the Afghan CAA to find a cause.

Default May they rest in peace

That was very hard to watch. The landing gear is still extended and a very steep climb attitude, there's no doubt in my mind what the caused it.
