First item on the checklist when you are involved in any kind of incident, especially a runway/taxiway excursion at night:

Another taxi incident... Not a big deal.

(Unlike that one in LGA. That was a very bad situation.)

Listening to the FOX commentators, the "lack of concrete under wheels after landing" is the cause of the Vikings ****-poor performance in the first half at least.

Question, is Delta calculating the landing distance / maximum crosswind for contaminated runway landings? (sorry, cluttered runways for you bubba types? Any word of using the new TALPA procedures?

I believe it was "of" [SIC] a taxiway, not a runway. Clearly a different set of events leaving the pavement of a taxiway versus a runway. Still lousy situation, but not the wild ride that the OP might be suggesting...
