Is there anyone in DEN that can tell me if it's shrinking? Have been trying to get in for four months and they aren't taking anyone
Yes. We are losing all united 700 flying that isn't mountain airports. Started earlier this year should have nothing in 6 months.

That means we shrink a little as the den erj base takes a lot of that flying.
Quote: Isn't upgrade on the E175 three years now for SEA? No idea what it is for ORD. I saw a 2200 number upgrade in the latest bid award. Of course that could change as more senior CRJ CAs are lately putting in their bids.
No it's around 4-4.5 years
Quote: Ask the training manager. Two types of it... "faa special tracking" and "company" "special tracking". If all you need is extra sim prep then its not the FAA one.. FAA one is failed MV or LOE
I appreciate the input I'll be sure to inquire about this. I've never filled out a majors application. Do they specifically ask about special tracking or just failed training events? Im trying to figure out if this is something that could be used to weed my app out. My instructor says he thinks I'm fine and that everything is to standard but still would like to see me with an extra session. I actually feel pretty good about where I'm at and don't want to make myself less marketable if I don't have to.
Quote: People have lost their medicals due to alcohol, went through the processes, fixed them selves back up and moved on to legacy. You won't be on special tracking forever, study more chair fly more and put ST behind you. Be open about it when asked for hiring purposes. Own it, how you learned from it and made you be better and proof is it was a one time thing. I believe you will be fine, depending what else your past holds. But concentrate on the future to improve.
Thanks man I appreciate that.
Quote: Hey guys new hire here currently in Sim. It looks like I may need a second sim session which would put me into "special tracking". I've asked around and haven't gotten a clear answer as to what that would mean for my career after Skywest. I understand what it entails while I'm here. I know that its PRIA reportable but am unsure as to how future employers would look at it and if it would make getting selected for an interview less likely. Any insight would be appreciated.
Just flew with a captain with a special tracking in his background. He just got picked up by a legacy.
Going into the CTP class on the 8th followed by ground school. During the interview they said there would be anywhere from couple days to couple weeks of downtime before sim sessions. The pilot recruiter however says I'll flow directly into sim, is this possible? Especially since they had to split the CTP class into two due to such a large NH group. Just trying to plan some house sitting stuff. Thanks.
When I went through last year the sim classes either started immediately, had a week off, or two weeks off based on where you picked to do the sims. It is seniority based so you may not get what you want.
In ground right now. Our class has between zero days and 3 days from ground to sim, except for 2 folks who have 3 weeks.
SAPA needs to fix the BS practice of giving people who needed the CTP in-class seniority over people who didn't (read: already had their ATP). If anything, thy should go to the bottom of the class since they cost the company a bunch of extra money due to their lack of the rating.
